Is the retake fee the same?
Yes. Every NCMHCE attempt requires paying the full $275. NBCC does not offer discounted retakes. This is why failing once is expensive — a $275 retake fee plus another 90-day wait and, usually, another round of prep.
Where prep costs actually vary
NCMHCE prep pricing spans $70 (a study book) to $700+ (AATBS live courses). Books teach content; they don't replicate the case- simulation format the NBCC actually uses.
